Product Groups! Why should you help fund IT Makeover?

The response to IT Makeover among ultra high-profile clients such as New York City has been overwhelming and it is clear why: IT Makeover provides a fresh, dynamic new evangelism avenue that provides an action-oriented marketing message, client education, and the ultimate proof: a major implementation documented on film!

If you want to rapidly educate your market on your technology and enjoy the rapid adoption that follows, IT Makeover is the way. Here's how you can get involved:

IT Makeover is currently seeking sponsors to help cover the cost of production. Existing sponsors include Dell, Infusion Development (Gold Partner) and a number of independent Microsoft groups. Filming is directed by Nikki Calabrase, producer for the hit MTV show, "Pimp My Ride," and technical architecture by Infusion Development (www.infusiondev.com) and different Microsoft groups. If you join our ranks, for the cost of a white paper, this is what you'll get:

  • Instead of a tired old case study few people read, you'll have a dynamic, funny, engaging technical showcase for your product that decision makers will actually enjoy watching.

  • For the same cost you'd normally budget for any one kind of sales collateral, you get multiple deliverables including:
    • "Big Screen" conference material: have an exciting, funny and, most importantly, educational show to augment or kick off or conclude your speaking sessions at any conference.

    • Sales collateral: give the field reps who may not have had time to ramp up on your technology something they can show (and, more important, will show) to their clients immediately.

    • Reference Implementation: all sponsors receive a complete solution featuring including, of course, their technology. Give the solution to clients as a "quick start", add to the MSDN as a sample, give to your TSs to ramp up quickly. And note that this is a real solution, actually used by a major municipality or company.

    • Whitepaper: every IT Makeover engagement ends with the development of a technical whitepaper which outlines the architecture, technologies, and reasons behind specific choices. It can serve as a "quick start" guide to help other parties interested in implementing a similar solution.

    • Public Client References: at a minimum, all recipients of the IT Makeover program (Such as New York City, Elite Models, "City in a Box" Camden) agree to acknowledge the use of your technology in their successful implementation. In some cases, the client will even specifically endorse/evangelize your technology to other clients and allow their statements to be used in marketing materials.

    • "Break In" to ABM (Anything But Microsoft) Shops: Through the IT Makeover program, we have successfully made Microsoft technologies official standards in departments where, previously, Microsoft had been specifically excluded. Particularly in the category three product space on the server side.

    • Be In It!: you will be briefed on the opportunity and, if you like, can have a cameo role on film as a member of the IT Makeover team. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to work with our architects and guide how your technology is best used in the engagement.
